'Ranbir Kapoor would ask me to bring books for Raha,' reveals his Ramayana co-star Indira Krishnan: 'All of my son's books are with her now'

Durga actress Indira Krishnan has been in the limelight ever since she joined the cast of Nitesh Tiwari 's ‘ Ramayana ’. She supposedly plays the role of Kaushalya in the upcoming movie. She recently talked about some personal moments from the set, like how often Ranbir Kapoor talked about his daughter Raha.


During an interview with Pinkvilla, Indira shared her experience working with Ranbir and about the differences she observed between working with him on ‘ Animal ’ and ‘Ramayana’. “Ranbir is one of the finest actors in our country. Be it his behaviour or his acting skills, he’s just exceptional.” Indira stated.



The actress, who played Rashmika's on-screen mother in ‘Animal’, talked about their brief interaction with him during the shooting of ‘Animal’. She further disclosed that, on the final day of the shoot, she expressed to Ranbir her desire to one day play his mother. She said that it appeared to be something she manifested. “Two years later, I walked into the script reading for Ramayana and didn’t even know he was playing Ram,” she shared.


Indira also discussed the bond that Indira and Ranbir developed on set. “We talked a lot on set and became really close. He treated me beautifully,” she shared. The actress further revealed that Ranbir would ask her to bring books for Raha. She further added, “All of my son’s books are with her now.”


Prior to this, Indira Krishnan starred in movies like ‘Holiday’ and ‘Chatur Singh Two Star’ and had a major role in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's ‘Animal’. In the realm of television, she co-stars with Pranali Rathod and Aashay Mishra as Paani Bai in ‘Durga’. She is best known for her lead role in ‘Krishnaben Khakhrawala’, as well as her performances in ‘Yeh Hai Chahatein’ and ‘Dhruv Tara – Samay Sadi Se Pare’.
