Ranveer Singh is heading the third part of the 'Don 3' franchise of the Farhan Akhtar directorial. After multiple delays, the film is now expected to begin shooting soon, with the first schedule slated for September 2025.
As per a News18 report, Vikrant Massey, who will play the antagonist, is confirmed to be part of the first shooting schedule planned for September. The film is set to begin shooting in September 2025. The delay in the film's production was mainly due to Farhan Akhtar’s commitment to completing his military-action drama '120 Bahadur' and Ranveer Singh wrapping up a significant portion of his film 'Dhurandhar'.
The report also suggests that plenty of stylish and high-energy action sequences will be featured in 'Don 3', including intense bike chases between Ranveer Singh and Vikrant Massey’s characters.
Vikrant, who has been widely admired for his work in heartland cinema, is set to surprise audiences with a completely fresh and unexpected look in the film.
While the male leads are locked in, the female lead's role is still uncertain. Kiara Advani was initially announced, but there are speculations that actresses Sharvari Wagh and Kriti Sanon are also contenders for the part. No official confirmation has been made yet.
This project also marks the reunion of Ranveer and Vikrant, who previously shared screen space in films like 'Lootera' and 'Dil Dhadakne Do', but this will be their first time as adversaries on screen.
Speaking of Vikrant Massey acting front, he is expected to start working on Karan Johar's 'Dostana 2' only after completing this project, likely in 2026. Earlier reports had indicated that Vikrant's availability for 'Dostana 2' depended on when 'Don 3' would go on floors. If 'Don 3' had been delayed beyond 2025, Vikrant was expected to begin shooting for 'Dostana 2' as early as September 2025 but now seems to be pushed next year.
