Sean 'Diddy' Combs appeared in court this week for his highly publicized sex-trafficking trial. He told the judge that he was feeling a little nervous. Jury selection is still happening, and opening statements from lawyers are expected next week. The former billionaire has pleaded not guilty to the charges, but his lawyers will face a tough challenge in questioning the credibility of accusers who claim the hip-hop mogul forced them to take part in elaborate sex parties.

Judge Arun Subramanian's Juror Questioning

Judge Arun Subramanian questioned three dozen potential jurors about their responses to a questionnaire designed to assess whether they could be impartial in a trial that will include violent and sexually explicit videos. The proceedings were briefly paused on Monday when Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs requested a bathroom break. The judge had initially suggested continuing with the juror questioning, referring to himself as a "machine." “I’m sorry, your honour, I’m a little nervous today,” Diddy said in response.

Combs' Appearance and Courtroom Attire

The 55-year-old Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs spent most of Monday sitting with his lawyers in court, dressed in a sweater over a white collared shirt and gray slacks, which the judge had permitted instead of jail clothing. Since his arrest last September, Combs has been held in a federal lockup in Brooklyn. His hair and goatee appeared almost completely gray, as dye is not allowed in jail.
