Abhishek has shared that during his time filming in New York, he often dreamed about being married to Aishwarya. When the right moment came, he took her to the same balcony of his hotel room where he had envisioned their life together and proposed to her. Aishwarya said yes, which marked the beginning of their forever.

In an interview, she said, “He is original and real, like our relationship. There is nothing predictable or boring about our life. We nurture each other. The gesture was spontaneous and meaningful. God has been kind to us. We can certainly afford those standard rocks. But do we need them."
