Karisma about shooting the scene with Aamir
In an old interview with Rajeev Masand, Karisma recalled the difficult conditions they endured to shoot the scene. “We went through gruelling circumstances. People say, ‘Oh, that kiss’ and all, but what we went through during that shoot for three days… In Ooty, in February… we were like, ‘Kab khatam ho raha hai yeh kiss scene?’” she shared.

She further explained how the weather made the shoot even more challenging: “It was freezing cold with storm, fans, and cold water. We worked in those conditions from 7 am till 6 in the evening, shivering away between takes. That was a different era of, I think, working under such circumstances.”
Dharmesh Darshan about the scene
The film’s director, Dharmesh Darshan, had previously revealed in an interview with Lehren Retro that Karisma’s mother, Babita Kapoor, was present throughout the three-day shoot of the intimate sequence. Darshan also recalled involving Babita directly in discussions to ensure her daughter felt comfortable.
'Raja Hindustani', which emerged as a massive box-office success and won multiple accolades, also starred Kunal Khemu, Johny Lever, and Archana Puran Singh in pivotal roles.
