Brett Favre, the NFL legend and the former player of the Green Bay Packers, retired from the league back in 2010, but has constantly been in the news due to a lot of controversies he has found himself in. The NFL legend still enjoys a large fan following and is pretty vocal about his controversial opinions. Now, the ups and downs that Brett Favre has gone through comes live on Netflix and it has sparked outrage.

Brett Favre’s documentary on Netflix will release next month but fans are furious about it

Netflix will be releasing the documentary in collaboration with the media company Front Office Sports. The documentary, The Fall of Favre, will be released on 20th May 2025 and will stream exclusively on the streaming giant.

As per Front Office Sports, the documentary will be about "the womanizing, hard-partying QB whose secrets were fiercely protected in provincial Green Bay."

Apart from this, the Netflix documentary will also focus on the scandals he has found himself in, including cheating and harassment allegations, as well as the Mississippi Welfare scam.

But fans are not at all happy about Netflix making a documentary on the NFL legend. A fan took to X and posted, “That thug deserves to be called out again. Too many forgot already what a piece of sh*t he is.”

Another fan wrote, “How did he exactly fall? Was he convicted? Will he go to jail? Then, I am not sure how he fell”, while a third fan posted, “Does it include him sending d*ck pics to chicks? And his stealing of hundreds of thousands of dollars from welfare?”

Another user posted, “He should be in jail for fraud, not profiting from a Netflix doc”, while a fifth fan noted, “Can it be a “Fall Of” when he hasn’t faced any actual consequences for his actions?”

Another fan made a sarcastic comment that read as, “Really? How many scandals were there?”, while a seventh fan noted, “Guy was not a good person. Good thing idgaf and loved watching him throw ropes to his team and others”.

Brett Favre was accused of misusing the fund which was collected for underprivileged families

The NFL legend, Brett Favre, has faced several claims of fraud, cheating and harassment during his NFL career and after he retired from it.

A few years ago, Brett Favre was accused of the Mississpi Welfare Fund scam when it was found that $77 million kept for underprivileged families were diverted to other projects. This included developing a volleyball facility at the University of Southern Mississippi where his daughter used to play beach volleyball back then.

But Brett Favre has strongly denied such claims. It remains interesting to watch how fans react when the documentary releases next month.
