Dodgers manager drops a massive update on RHP Roki Sasaki’s shoulder discomfortDuring a recent post-game interview, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts not only spoke about the phenomenal contribution of the team members with respect to dominating the Oakland Athletics in a three-game series. On being questioned by the interviewers about the recent revelation made by Roki Sasaki about his shoulder discomfort. The interviewer went on to ask

“Roki was explaining yesterday that his condition with his shoulder was something similar to last year in Japan, but they couldn't figure it out. What is it exactly? And it's not showing in the scan. How do you like it? How do you try to figure that out?”

To which Roberts replied-

“I mean, I think the good thing is that there's not really an incident with the MRI scan, but there are symptoms, and I think that’s there. So I think that a vague way to put it is an impingement, and what that means specifically is it.”

While talking about Sasaki’s shoulder discomfort, he further elaborated-

“It's just, you know, something in the bones, and then there's just some impingement going on in the shoulder that's discomfort, and so obviously if you keep doing it some more things can happen, so we feel as a staff that if we can just kind of put him on ice, take a ball out of his hands build him back up, then we can get that inflammation out, and then we can go from there, but there's no kind of one thing to look at. I think that's a good thing.”

During the ongoing MLB season, the Los Angeles Dodgers roster has been plagued with consecutive injuries. After Clayton Kershaw and Blake Snell, pitching star Tyler Glasnow was shifted to the injured list by the Dodgers in the last week of April 2025.
