50 illegal Bangladeshi nationals detained in Ahmedabad, over 200 being questioned

The Ahmedabad Crime Branch on Friday informed that they have detained over 50 Bangladeshi nationals . The immigrants were illegally living in Ahmedabad.

The officials informed that more than 200 people are being questioned.

Earlier this week, several illegal Bangladeshis were arrested for allegedly residing in different parts of India.

At least 21 Bangladeshi nationals were arrested for allegedly residing illegally in the Ranjangaon area, according to Pune police officials.

The accused, including 15 men, 4 women, and 2 transgender individuals, were allegedly residing in the Ranjangaon area with fake documents, including Aadhar cards and PAN cards.

Meanwhile, Jaipur police on Wednesday busted a nexus involving 12 suspicious Bangladeshi nationals living in the city allegedly using fraudulent documents.

DCP (West) Amit Kumar said 6 Bangladeshi citizens were arrested, along with one Indian citizen, who facilitated their stay in Bhankrota. The police also sent 6 minors, believed to be Bangladeshi citizens, to care homes following the operation.
