PATNA: A woman allegedly forced her husband to consume poison during a domestic dispute in Bihar's Samastipur late Friday. The alleged cruelty was witnessed by the couple's two minor kids, aged three and five years. Police said the husband, Vikram Kumar Singh, a construction worker, was under treatment at a private hospital in critical condition.
According to the children, during the argument, their mother Vibha sat on their father's chest, force-fed him poison and even threatened him with a knife. The kids claimed their mother even stabbed him in the stomach, although there was no injury mark on Vikram's abdomen, police said.
Soon after the alleged attack, police were informed, and they rushed Vikram to hospital. His mother, Jyoti Devi, filed formal complaint against her daughter-in-law.
