NEW DELHI: Initially, Congress led during the vote count, but the tide soon shifted as the BJP moved ahead. As of 4 pm, trends indicated that BJP was leading in 50 seats, while the Congress was ahead in 35. The BJP has been declared winner in 27 seats, while the Congress has won in 22 so far, according to the EC.
The majority threshold for the 90-member assembly is 46.
The Haryana Assembly elections were conducted in a single phase on October 5, after being postponed from the original date of October 1 by the Election Commission.
