A video of Republican senator Ted Cruz's daughter Caroline has gone viral in which her father is praising President-elect Donald Trump and Caroline is not even hiding her 'disgusting' expression. "Don't clap for that," she told her mother, as evident from her lip movement, to not clap at what her father said. "I hope and pray Donald Trump will be re-elected as the president of the United States," Cruz said to the cheers of the audience and her wife was also clapping. This was Ted Cruz's victory speech when the presidential election was yet to be called in. Caroline's mother's expression did not change as she continues smiling and clapping.
The Republicans against Donald Trump shared the video which was already viral and Trump-haters are loving it. "Thanksgiving is going to be fun at the Cruz house," one wrote. "She might actually break the generational curse," another wrote. "His daughter obviously has more dignity than he does," another post read.
"This family should never clap after what Trump said about them. At least the daughter knows some self respect," one post read referring Trump's 2016 statement that Ted Cruz's wife was ugly and Cruz's father was linked to the assassination of JF Kennedy. Trump called Cruz Lyin Ted and even doubted whether he was qualified to be the US president as he was born in Canada. Ted ran for the president that year before dropping out of the Republican primary and then endorsing Trump. According to reports, Trump apologized to Ted Cruz later.
"She (Caroline) so real for that," one post read.
"Her dad's Ted Cruz, she gets zero sympathy," one wrote.
"What are their names? They're heroes," another wrote.
"She is all of us," another comment read.
"Ted Cruz's daughter, Caroline, has been quite vocal about her views, and it's refreshing to see her speaking her mind! She's already shared that she disagrees with most of her dad's views ,which takes a lot of courage, especially considering her dad's prominent political position," one added.
Did Ted Cruz win the Texas Senate election?
Yes, Ted Cruz won the Senate election against Democratic Rep Colin Allred. And now he will serve a third term in the Senate. Texas has not elected a Democratic senator in more than 30 years.
