India Calls Out Pakistan as a 'Rogue State' After Defence Minister's Shocking Admission

United Nations: India has reacted strongly to the recent admission by Pakistan's Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, who acknowledged his country's involvement in supporting and financing terrorist groups. This revelation has led India to label Pakistan as a 'rogue state' that contributes to global terrorism and regional instability.

During a hybrid event for the launch of the 'Victims of Terrorism Association Network' (VoTAN) organized by the UN Office of Counter-Terrorism, India's Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Yojna Patel, delivered a pointed response after a Pakistani delegate referenced a terror incident in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.

Patel expressed disappointment that a specific delegation would exploit this platform for propaganda and unfounded accusations against India. She emphasized, 'The world has heard the Pakistani Defence Minister openly confessing to Pakistan's history of supporting, training, and funding terrorist organizations in a recent television interview.'

She further stated, 'This admission is not surprising and clearly portrays Pakistan as a rogue state that fuels global terrorism and disrupts regional peace. The international community can no longer ignore this reality.'

In his interview with Sky News, Asif remarked, 'We have been doing this dirty work for the United States for about three decades, including the West and Britain,' acknowledging Pakistan's long-standing support for terrorist entities.
