Bajaj Pulsar NS200 to Become More Affordable with New Variant Launch

Send Push

Mumbai, April 10 — Bajaj Auto is all set to make its highly popular Pulsar NS200 more accessible with a new cost-effective variant arriving at dealerships across India. This updated version comes with some changes in hardware, aiming to reduce the price and broaden its appeal among budget-conscious buyers in the 200cc segment.

Key Changes in the New Bajaj Pulsar NS200 Variant

The most significant change in the new variant is the replacement of the upside-down (USD) forks with telescopic forks at the front. Additionally, instead of the dual-channel ABS seen in the current model, the more affordable version will be equipped with single-channel ABS — a change that significantly brings down manufacturing costs.

These updates mean that this variant will be priced below the current ex-showroom price of ₹1,59,532, offering better value for riders looking to upgrade without a major financial jump.

Making the NS200 More Accessible

The Pulsar NS200 has long been one of the top choices in the 200cc motorcycle segment in India, thanks to its aggressive styling, high-revving engine, and sporty dynamics. However, the current model’s price point has become a barrier for some buyers, especially in semi-urban and rural markets.

By introducing this stripped-down version, Bajaj aims to target a wider audience, particularly first-time performance bike buyers and those upgrading from 125cc or 150cc motorcycles.

Performance and Design Still Intact

Despite these changes, the core performance remains unchanged. The motorcycle continues to be powered by the same 199.5cc liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine that delivers 24.5 PS of power and 18.74 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The aggressive styling, perimeter frame, and muscular design elements will also remain largely the same.

Expected Launch and Market Strategy

The new variant has already started arriving at select Bajaj dealerships and is expected to be officially launched in the coming weeks. This move aligns with Bajaj’s broader strategy to offer more versatile pricing options within its existing lineup, making performance motorcycles more accessible to the masses.
